YouTuber Ms. Rachel Named One of Glamour Magazine’s Women of the Year

YouTuber Ms. Rachel, the internet’s most loved children’s educator, has been recognized as one of Glamour Magazine’s Women of the Year 2025. Known for her joyful songs and educational videos that help toddlers learn speech and language skills, Ms. Rachel has also become a powerful advocate for children in war zones around the world.

Ms. Rachel’s Journey to Global Fame

Born Rachel Accurso, Ms. Rachel began her YouTube channel six years ago to help her son Thomas, who was experiencing a speech delay. Her videos, filled with songs, rhymes, and interactive learning moments, quickly gained global popularity. Today, she has over 17 million YouTube subscribers and nearly eight million TikTok followers, making her one of the most influential children’s educators online.

Her mission has always been to make learning joyful for kids — and now, her brand is recognized by parents and toddlers across the world. In an interview with Glamour Magazine, Ms. Rachel shared that she feels lucky to live her dream of working with children while sharing her passion for music.

Inspired by Mister Rogers’ Legacy

Ms. Rachel credits her inspiration to Fred Rogers, creator of the legendary show Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. While she humbly says she “can’t accept the comparison” to Rogers, she’s honored that people mention them in the same breath. Like Rogers, she focuses not only on education but also on kindness, empathy, and emotional awareness for children.

Ms. Rachel’s Activism and Humanitarian Work

Beyond her songs and videos, Ms. Rachel has become a strong voice for children suffering in conflict zones, including Gaza, Sudan, and Ukraine. She consistently uses her social media platforms to raise awareness about how wars devastate children’s lives.

She also serves as a global ambassador for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), supporting their projects and personally meeting children brought to the U.S. for medical treatment. One of them is Rahaf, a four-year-old double amputee from Gaza, with whom she shares a special bond.

When asked about criticism she faces online, Ms. Rachel told Glamour that while hurtful comments can be painful, “kids’ lives are more important than my reputation.” Her empathy and courage have made her not just a content creator but a symbol of compassion.

Other Honorees and the Global Context

Also on Glamour’s Women of the Year 2025 list is actor Rachel Zegler, who has likewise spoken out about the suffering of children in Gaza. Her words, “I can’t watch children die,” reflect the compassion shared by this year’s honorees.

After two years of continuous attacks on Gaza that claimed thousands of lives, Israel agreed to a ceasefire earlier this month. However, tensions remain high, and sporadic strikes continue — making humanitarian voices like Ms. Rachel’s more essential than ever.
